Automation has brought a number of mind blowing inventions that were successful in making our lives easier and more functional. Here are some of the latest creations we found worth sharing with you.

1. The Boring Company Cars Tunnel

In 2018, an American tech company named, The Boring Company figured out an innovative solution for the traffic jams in Hawthorne, Los Angeles by building an automated, underground tunnel. The project is currently still in the testing phase but has reached very interesting results. Elon Musk, the founder of the company shared his future vision of creating car elevators on the streets where cars could use to get into the tunnel, move in about 100 miles/ hour using an autopilot platform, and skip traffic in a fast and safe way. 

 

3. Zuta labs Portable Printer

The only thing you cannot take on the road with you is a printer, but ZutaLabs didn’t agree and created the very first portable, inkjet printer that you can use wherever you are. Simply the whole idea is based on putting the printing heads on wheels and connecting the device to the mobile phone. 

4. The Pop.Up Cars

Italdesign and Airbus combined created a revolutionary, self-driving car that is also a flying drone to put the traffic jams to an end. The whole system consists of 3 layers:

• An Artificial Intelligence platform that, based on its user knowledge, and machine learning chooses the best routes and scenarios to reach the required destination.
• Two different and independent electric propelled vehicles (the ground module and the air module).
• An interface that interacts with the user in fully virtual environment.

5. Robotic Snake Rescue

A group of Stanford engineering students were able to develop an inflatable, snake-like device that could navigate itself and go through narrow holes and lift heavy objects using air pressure to help detect any dangers. It is also hollow from the inside to allow injecting any useful materials that could be used for rescues such as a webcam, a sensor, or water in the case of fire.
